The Fabric Patch Ephrata, Washington

This shop is located about 20 miles from Interstate 90 in central Washington state. I sought it out because my best friend watches them online quite regularly, and insisted I had to stop and see the shop in person. Mother / Daughter team Cindi Rang and Brianna Metzkus have a wonderful shop, well worth the detour of of the interstate to see it, and many other family members are also involved! The post regularly on YouTube, (URL listed with the Website) so do check them out there as well as in person if you get the chance.

Fabric – lots of fabric, over 9,000 bolts to enjoy and make your selections. There are large and small prints, and wonderful flannels. Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pinks, and Minkee are represented. Blenders and solids are available, as are tone on tones. There are plenty of batiks to tempt you, and over 90 different wide backings are on hand. There is a room that is all children’s fabrics, and a room just for Minkee. Don’t miss the Holiday Room – Christmas, Fall, Halloween, and so on. Precuts include Charm Packs, Jelly Rolls, and Layer Cakes in both regular cottons and flannels. I sorted through the selection of wildlife panels and found one I did not have, which is not so easy given my collection! There is also a great selection of fruit and vegetable fabrics, great for table runners, potato baking bags, bowl cozies, or whatever else you can think of to do with them.

Samples are displayed in every room, and when the fabric line is sold out they are either sold or donated to Charity Auctions. Many of them are made from house designed patterns. If you see one you love, do ask about reserving it. The Sunflower Quilt shown is three dimensional, who could resist the Flannel Snowman? There are patterns for all of the samples, and kits for many of them. Of course, you can always buy the pattern and select your own fabrics; help is available if you need it.

The shop is a registered Pfaff machine dealer, so take a few minutes to check out the machines while you’re visiting. Long arm services are also available; ;please call the shop or check the website for pricing and lead times. The long armer is also a family member…

Keep in mind that this shop is a block long and a half block wide, so I would allow at least thirty minutes to an hour here to see everything.
