Dutch Rose Quilt Shop Sioux Falls, South Dakota

The Dutch Rose Quilt Shop, owned by Jolleen Rupert, is less than five minutes from I29 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This delightful shop has a mix of fabrics, separated into rooms for easy searching, and shelves collections together.  They also specialize in kits and Fat Quarter bundles.

Are you looking for Civil War prints?  Check out the Civil War room, where you will find lots of fabrics, patterns, and samples to help inspire your next project.

If you enjoy woolens, stop in the Woolen Room for hand dyed Primitive Gatherings and Wooly Mammoth fabrics. Don’t miss the notions that also reside in this area – a nice selection of threads, gadgets, and rulers.

Browse the selection of batiks and prints in the main room.  There is also a selection of canvas and linen for those of us who make totes and other bags. There are flannels and a whole wall of blenders to match with your prints or use as solids.

The Dutch Rose no longer has classes – they decided to give up the classrooms to house more fabric, which allows the shop to carry and exhibit over 2000 bolts of fabric.  Patterns and rulers are also available, and the staff is happy to give guidance and advice if needed.

Before you leave town, take an hour or so to drive down to Falls Park and admire the city’s namesake, Sioux Falls. They’re worth the trip!
