Located right off of Interstate 70 Business Loop, or about five miles from interstate 70, this shop features a wall of Colorado fabrics and quilts, designed by a local artist. Owner Carol Schneider decider to group all of these together and feature them, and it is an impressive display. The shop is hosting a Colorado West Quilters Guild retreat January 26-27, 2024. Please contact the shop for more information on the guild.
Ont to the fabrics! With over 4,500 bolts on hand, and designers including Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pink, Northcott, and M& S Aboriginals, there is a lot to see. The shop has a huge collection of batiks, as well as solids and blenders. Tone on tones come in black, white, cream, and ivory, Large and small prints are on hand, some begging to be One Block Wonders. There is a great selection of flannels, as well, since it does get cold in the winter here. There are also Colorado Mesa University fabrics, and a nice selection of Fat Quarter Packs and 5″ Square packs. Patterns are scattered on shelves as well as on racks of their own. Wide backings are available in both cotton and Minkee. Moda Toweling is on hand, too.
Samples are throughout the shop as well as on the Colorado Wall. Designs on the Colorado Wall are by Kris Holdernes, who designs both the fabric and the quilts. Many have kits, and patterns are also available. There is at least one Block of the Month running, in addition to several classes. Please check online for the current class list. Notions, embroidery supplies, and quilt batting are on hand.
The shop is a dealer for Brother Sewing Machines, so if you are in the market, do check these out while you’re visiting. I would plan to spend at least thirty minutes to an hour here.
