This delightful shop faces the parking lot for the local grocery, but parking is also available off to the side in the gravel lot where Google Maps takes you. Located just off of Arizona 260 about an hour from Pinetop Star, owners Billye Wilda and Cathy Bawden having been serving this area since 2013. Their motto is to “share your passion,” and I saw this clearly when I visited.
Let’s start with samples. There are many hanging throughout the shop, and the Circle of Neckties was brought in for show and tell while I was there. It is a memory piece, made by appliquéing the ties onto a background since many were too fragile to disassemble. I think it is a beautiful use of the ties. Other samples come with kits and patterns.
Then, of course, there is fabric. Prints to Stack-n-Whack, smaller prints, some Grunge, batiks, solids, and blenders. Christmas fabrics are available year round, and there is also cuddle and wide backings. Free Spirit “Provisions” by Tim Holtz is a mottled blender, but with dark blotches; an interesting look that I had not seen before and reads as rather masculine. All together, there are at least 1,500 bolts to look through and be tempted. Panels, Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls, and Charm Packs abound. Quilt books and patterns are available. There are some clothing fabrics and patterns as well. Ribbons and trims are offered for clothing or crazy quilts.

Long Arm Services are available; please call for pricing and lead times. The machine was running when I visited. It is always fun to see what others are creating! There are also 16 sewing machines available for use and a lending library. Home EC classes for the local Middle School and home schooled children are also held here.
Please plan to be here for at least 30 minutes.
