Located a few hundred feet off of Highway 36 in Missouri, or 43 miles from Interstate 72, this is the third stop on the Highway 36 Quilt Trail, a Shop Hop that runs from April 1, 2021, to October 31, 2021. Owner Cheryl Bowling manages this unique two for one shop, with quilting and fabric on one side and a hair salon on the other. If she’s not busy, you can get fabric and a haircut all in one place!
There are over 1,000 bolts of fabric here, with solids, tone on tone, blenders, and plain grunge. Add to that batiks and large and small prints, and a sale shelf that forced me to get enough of a wonderful green paisley to make a Stack-N-Whack! I usually limit my purchases at the shops I visit to avoid going broke, but this was too good to pass up…
There are Layer Cakes, Charm Packs, and Jelly Rolls, some with matching prints, for any project you have that mixes precuts. Christmas fabrics are here year around, and there are also kits and panels to play with, just for fun. Samples are available to admire and decide if you want to buy the pattern or the kit. If you decide on just the pattern, Miss Cheryl will happily help you to select fabrics to go with it.
The shop started as a long arm service, and when Miss Cheryl ran out of space she built closer to home to house both her long arm machine and fabrics and her hair salon. There is also a wonderful cabinet housing two vintage quilts that are great fun to look at and admire. Plan 20 to 30 minutes here – unless you’re also getting a haircut!

Stop back on Thursday and see what I find as the North American Shop Hop continues down the Highway 36 Quilt Trail!
I just haaave to ask, the left quilt behind the long arm, is that a fussycut drunkard’s path or squares carefully sized and fussycut? Not close enough to tell but amazing either way.
The one is the case is actually a five way Irish Chain. The one on the wall behind the long arm is a Drunkard’s Path, very carefully cut. Beautiful, isn’t it?
