Located just off of US 89 in Utah, and just over an hour from Monday’s shop or just under a mile and a half from Interstate 70, this shop has been serving the area for over thirty years. The current owner, Randi Deem, bought the shop three and a half years ago after working with the previous owner for some time, so no lapse in service here! Miss Randi not only owns and runs this shop, she teaches at other shops in the area as well. Questions about a quilting problem? Bring them in and ask!
Fabrics, all 3,000 plus bolts of them, include wool for applique or sewing on both pieces and on bolts. Look for the solids and blenders, and Stack-n-Whack ready large prints. Smaller prints are also available, and don’t miss the batiks! 60′ Minkee is available for backings, as is cotton in 108″ widths. There are beautiful panels, and a selection of layer cakes. Fat Quarters are generally stocked near the parent bolt, so finding a smaller piece is relatively simple. Check out the rack of fat quarters without bolts – wonderful if you are considering a Turning Twenty project! There are also yarn dyed fabrics by Pumpkin Farms, useful because there is no wrong side. There are also completed Potholders and Bowl Cozies for sale if you need a quick gift for yourself or someone else.
Make sure you read the label on the Red and White quilt shown below. It is a true heirloom, made for the owner’s parents Laren & Leah Rae, in 1978 in Las Vega, Nevada, by an 82 year old friend. It is both beautiful and treasured.
Samples rule here, and most kits are made in house, so if you want one and can’t find it, check and see if one can be made while you shop. Look for the “Kit Available” label.
The shop also carries stamped embroidery panels, and the floss to complete them. OESD Machine Embroidery patterns and Kimberbell patterns and notions are also on hand. Edge to Edge Log Arm services are available; please call the shop for pricing and lead times. I would plan to spend at least thirty to forty-five minutes here.
