Located just under a mile from US 95 in northwestern Nevada, this shop is another tow for one business. Natalie Betschart is in the process of buying the quilt shop from her mother, and then she and her husband Randy added his Computer Repair and IT Service company under the same roof. The shop has been serving the area for seven years, and Miss Natalie is quite familiar with it, so there is no loss to the community in the transition.
Fabric designers include M & S Aboriginals, Kaffe Fassett, Tula Pink, and a great selection of Northcott. , to name a few. There are over 1,000 bolts of fabric on hand, featuring large and small prints, solids, blenders, and some lovely batiks. Wide backings include some from Kaffe Fassett – I am so tempted to do a large scale Stack-n-Whack with one of these! Don’t miss the 60″ Minkee, or the wonderful panels. Check out the Southwestern prints, too. The shop also carries Northcott Hooked, and cotton that looks like burlap, but is not. What a great way to add visual texture to your next project!
Yes, there are samples! There are patterns available to make your own version, and help is available to select the fabrics that will match your decor. There are also classes available from beginning sewing to quilting at several levels. Long Arm Services are provided out of house by the previous owner; information is available in the shop or by phone. I would plan to spend at least twenty to forty minutes here.
