Located on Ohio Route 7 near Pomeroy, Ohio, and owned by Amber Ridenour, this mascot protected shop is a fun stop if you’re in the area. The shop started with long-arming Minkee, and has grown to a full service quilt shop. The mascot, a wonderful calico cat named Allie (short for Allison), will gaze at you and promptly ignore you, as cats are prone to do.
There are over 1,500 bolts in this shop, carefully arranged to use all available space. Minkee in 60″ and 90″, as well as Cuddle and cottons, are available as backings. Quilting cottons include solids and blender, and a smaller selection of tone on tomes and panels. There are batiks, as well as large and small prints and a selection of Kaffe Fassett. Christmas fabrics are here all year. Don’t miss the Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, and Jelly Rolls, and check out the 4-H fabrics! I had not seen these elsewhere, so if you have someone in your life that needs a quilt made with these, give Miss Amber a call.
There are samples on display, mostly to highlight the long arm quilting available. It is edge to edge, but very well done, with some panto-graphs I haven’t seen in this area. Please call the shop for pricing and lead times on this service. The shop also carries a nice selection of Creative Grid rulers to challenge you.
I would plan to be here for twenty to forty minutes to enjoy everything.
