Located just under a mile from Interstate 64, this wonderful shop is a great break during a long drive . Owners Winona Bays and Heidi Smithers, has been serving the local are for over 16 years. Please turn between the store and the Dairy Queen, and walk along the front of the store to the entrance. Check out the brightly colored fabrics on display as you enter; they are gorgeous.
About those fabrics. There are over 2,000 bolts on hand, with wonderful large prints that would make fabulous Stack-n-Whack quilts. Then there are solids and blenders to match, and a nice selection of Grunge. Don’t miss the smaller prints, and a selection of patriotic fabrics and batiks. Civil War and 30’s reproduction fabrics are also available. Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, and Jelly Rolls are also available, as well as a nice selection of DMC embroidery floss. Wide backings and Minkee are also available. Don’t forgot to check out the patterns and samples for bags while you’re visiting. I could have a lot of fun with that border print pictured below!
Sew Many Blessings is a registered dealer for Baby Lock machines. These include domestic sewing, embroidery, and long arm systems. Make sure to check these out if you are in the market for a new machine. I keep seeing these wonderful embroidery systems, and what they can do, and I may yet have to let one follow me home. For now, I’m keeping the one that fits in my micro camper so I can sew while I’m traveling…
This sample is one of my favorite Laura Heine collages. I have seen the back fins made from the swirls of a paisley print, flowers, and even sequins. The shop has a great collection of these patterns, so check them out and take one home to play with. This is one of many samples on display, and there are patterns for most of them. After 16 1/2 years in business, we have decided to sell Sew Many Blessings and retire. If you are interested in being a quilt shop owner, please come in and talk with us personally. For now, everything will continue business as usual.
