Located just about four miles from AB-43, this growing shop is in their new and larger location. Owner Lynelle Brochu and her staff have been serving area quilters with great fabric and great machines for over 30 years, so there is a wealth of knowledge here that you can tap into is you are having problems with a pattern or just want to learn more about quilting and sewing. Check out the class schedule online or on Facebook. or stop in and chat.
While you’re here, of course you will need to check out the fabrics! Start with Grunge in plain and metallic, then look at the solids and blenders. Wander through the large and small prints, and pick a pattern to start building your own quilt kit. Check out the batiks and Canadian themed fabrics, and then look for backings. They are available in 108″ cottons and cotton flannel, or 90″ Fireside and Minky. There are over 8,000 bolts on hand, so there is sure to be something that needs to follow you home.
The shop is a licensed dealer for Bernina, Janome, Baby Lock, and Pfaff machines. With over 80 machines in house, you have a wide selection to compare and make you choice. Repairs are also available for these and other machines. They were having a Singer Featherweight show when I visited, so there were over 160 Featherweights on hand to be admired, as well as toys made from older machines.
Don’t miss the wonderful samples on display throughout the shop. Many are for classes being offered soon, and patterns and kits are available. The One Block Wonder on the design wall was in process as a class sample, and it was well on it’s way to being gorgeous. I love the three dimensional accent blocks included in the design!
Edge to Edge long arm services are also available; please call the shop for pricing and lead times. I would plan to be here for thirty to forty-five minutes; longer if you are looking at machines.

Stop back on Thursday to see where the North American Shop Hop is visiting as I start reviewing the shops in Alaska.
The Asian florals in the fifth picture remind me of the late lamented Kona Bay….
