Located on the Saskatchewan / Alberta border right off of the service road for 17N, some of the online references say the shop is in Alberta, and some say Saskatchewan. This busy shop is owned by Jody Stapely, who made it clear that the correct address is Alberta – although Saskatchewan is only 100 feet away! Either way, it’s a wonderful shop and well worth the visit.
With over 1,000 bolts of fabric on hand, you’re sure to find something to tempt you. Styles include solids and blenders, tone on tones in white and ivory, and Grunge in plain, dots, and stars. Panels and large and small prints are also on hand. Don’t miss the wonderful selection of 108″ wide backs, and 60″ Fireside. There are Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls, and Charm Packs. Flannel in plaids and checks are here, as well as Match Box Quilts – kits that make a 6″ square mini quilt that are quite adorable. Long arm services are available as well; please call the shop for pricing and lead times.
There are wonderful samples on display both in the shop and in the wonderfully large classroom. Please check out the class schedule online. You can also stop in on Tuesday’s from 10 – 4 (small fee and bring a lunch) for “Sewcial Sewing.” Bring what you’re working on and enjoy some great fellowship.
The shop is a licensed dealer for Baby Lock machines, so if you’re in the market, please do check them out.
I’d plan to be here at least thirty to forty-five minutes – or come on Tuesday and spend the day!
