Located less than two miles from Ohio 11, this a a great stop if you are between Youngstown and East Liverpool, Ohio. OH-11 is a four lane highway running north to south in eastern Ohio. Shop owner Lyndon Van Pelt has been serving the local community for years, and the shop takes part in a Tent Sale / 30 family Garage Sale in July in the lot next to the store. Please call or email the store in June for the exact dates for this annual event.
There is a great selection of fabric here for both clothing and quilting. I estimated around 500 bolts of 100% cottons for quilting, and at least half that many in knits and polyesters for clothing. Of course, cottons can be either quilts or clothing – or both!! Cottons come in solids and blenders, as well as wide backings. There is a great assortment of prints, many suitable for Stack-n-Whack. Smaller prints are also well represented. This is not a quilting store per se, but serves the local community for both clothing and quilting needs. Notions are available, including a selection of cutting mats in sizes from 12 X 18 to 24 X 36.
There is a wonderful selection of invisible zippers, which I have used for clothing for years. I may just have to try them in the Quilting Tool Totes I’m working on next… Trouser zippers in several lengths are also available. The shop also does custom embroidery to order, so if you are looking for a source for your personalized quilt labels, do give them a call.
