Who doesn’t look forward to going to Nana’s? This wonderful shop, located near the top of White Mountain in eastern Arizona, is a visit to Nana’s for the quilter. Owned by Brenda “Nana” Popp, there are fabrics, notions, and a retreat center, so if you’d like to set up a time to get away and sew with a few friends, do call for more information. The drive is beautiful, as are the fabrics.
There are lots of fabrics here, over 2,000 bolts. Most are Marshall’s Quilt Shop Quality, with solids, tone on tones, and blenders. There is also a great collection of prints, some of which have the same print in several color waves, great for playing with Stack-n-Whack. Just for fun, try alternating layers of the same print in different color ways and see what happens! There are also batiks, and a nice selection of smaller prints. Patterns, buttons and trims are also offered.
The shop does consignment sales for local craters. A rack of quilts and a fun selection of hair bows are just a few of the choices. Check these items out if you need a ready made gift – or start shopping for Christmas! After all, it is only four months away…
I had to include a picture of this gorgeous table! I am a bit of a natural wood nut, and this one is beautiful and as smooth as soft butter.
The shop also offers long arm services; please call for more information. If you need custom sewing and design work, you can order items ranging from blankets to quilts to valences and beyond. Lead times do vary, so please call to discuss your needs.
