Located just under a mile from Monday’s shop, the two shops work together to avoid duplicating lines of fabric, which means you get the effect of a much bigger shop in close proximity. Owned by Bill and Whitney Ellsworth, this shop has been serving Prescott Valley for over 22 years. It started with upholstery fabric, then added quilting fabric as more and more customers asked if they carried it.
There is a lot of really beautiful fabric here; over 2,500 bolts just for quilting. Moda, including a nice selection of Grunge, plus solids, blenders, and tone on tone. Large and small prints are featured, as well as a several shelves of batiks. Kaffe Fassett and Australian Aboriginal prints are well represented. There is a great selection of ombre’s as well, which was great since I was looking for a desert sky background. Don’t miss the rack of panels, each hung so you can see the whole panel before making your selections.
There are wonderful samples to admire, starting with the one on the right. I love the shadow effect on this one! Watch as you browse the shop; they are hung everywhere! Many have patterns and kits available. There is a nice selection of other patterns to tempt you, with the option to make your own “kit” with whatever fabrics strike your fancy or match your decor. Help is available if needed.
Plan to be here for at least 30 minutes – longer if you wander into the upholstery section! There are some gorgeous fabrics there. I was almost tempted to think about recovering my futon…
