My Heritage Fabrics Ogden, Utah

Located inside of Rainbow Gardens, which is a pleasant eight mile drive up into the hills outside of Ogden, located across from Dinosaur Park. The shop was purchased by MaryLou Adams just over a year ago, but has been in business for many years. Miss MaryLou is the head nurse for Weber County, and this shop is her retirement plan – whenever she decides to retire! Until then, employees take care of routine tasks while she manages the operation and continues her nursing duties.

The shop is the best local source for wildlife panels, and in fact has the biggest collection in Utah. There are also over 1,000 bolts of fabric to choose from in the shop. These include batiks, small prints, and a great number Stack-n-Whack candidates. Solids, blenders, and tone on tone fabrics are also available. There is a small selection of wool fabrics as well. Kaffe Fassett are well represented.

Spend some time admiring the many samples hung in the shop. My mother loves owls, so I particularity enjoyed this Snowy Owl!

Although the shop does not provide long arm services, there is a long arm business right next door that teaches usage of the machine and then rents out time on them.

If you like to use fat quarters – which I do – check out this rack!! I have made the Turning Twenty pattern more than once, and I have several place mat patterns that use fat quarters. I enjoyed that they were grouped by colors, so I could pick out enough for a place mat set in the same color family almost instantly.

Plan 25 to 35 minutes in this shop, and then stop in next door and check out the long arm shop!
