One of four stores owned and managed by the Nuttall family, this shop in Layton, Utah, is located just 8 miles from Interstate 84. The shop opened in 1968, and there are three generations working in the business. I was only able to visit one of the four stores this trip; I will have to check out the rest (Riverton, Pleasant Grove, and Salt Lake City) during later trips.
The shop carries Accuquilt Go, with a great collection of dies. And what do you need to use your Accuquilt? Fabric! There are over 3,000 bolts of fabric here, ranging from solids and blenders to batiks and prints, both small and large. Fossil Ferns, flannels (300 or more children’s prints) and fleece are fun to look at. There’s also a nice collection of tone on tones, and fabrics for most of the major sports teams. Panels, jelly rolls, Bali pops, and Charm Packs are her, as well as wide backs to complete you projects. Don’t miss the quilt kits!
Nuttall’s is a licensed Bernina dealer. Take some time to check out the machines while you are visiting the shop. There is also a great collection of Creative Grids rulers, so check them out and see what you’re missing! Anita Goodesign Embroidery patterns are also available to go with your Bernina embroidery system, as well as a great selection of threads.
Samples are hung throughout the shop, and many have kits and patterns. If you don’t care for the fabric selections in the kit, you can buy the pattern and choose your own fabrics. There is also a Kids Summer Camp run by the shops; please call for details, times, and costs. Plan at least 20 to 40 minutes here.
