What do you get when a quilter gets interested in scrap-booking? Did you ever look at a fabric and think, I’d love to use that car, or truck, or boat, or whatever in my scrapbook? Owner Rachael Stoltzfus has made that fantasy a reality. Located about two miles from Route 30, Farmhouse Memories combines the best of both crafts, integrating fabric into cards and scarp book pages. Imagine a quilted item or two, with the same fabric used to make the gift card. You can find that here, and you can take classes to learn to make your own.
Fabrics here are the most eclectic selection of prints I have seen so far. If you can cut a piece out for a card, it’s here. There are a few solids, some blenders, and a huge collection of large and small prints. With over 1,200 bolts on hand, it takes some time to see them all, and to admire the way Miss Rachael uses fabric. Fat quarters are stored with the bolts, and there are wonderful panels as well. There are also stitched on paper items – imagine a die to punch a hole pattern, and then stitch a pattern and glue a second paper on the back. Quilling and Scrap-booking supplies are also on hand, as are Diamond Dot kits.
Samples are everywhere here. The cards at the right use the fabric below. Classes are available to learn to do this.
The blue and white quilt, both bags, the mini quilt, and the card are all from the same fabrics. Samples like this are on display throughout the shop – I kept having to look and make sure what I was seeing was fabric and not a color print.
I would plan to be here for at least thirty to 45 minutes to see all there is to see here. It is definitely a crafter’s dream stop!

Stop back on Monday to see where the North American Shop Hop is visiting next!
Just when I thought I knew where every fabric store was in Lancaster County, your blog shows up in my inbox. Thank you so much for this wonderful blog. I have learned about so many new fabric stores within a 3-4 hour range of me, and I can’t wait to drag my husband to them all. You really have a gem of a blog here. Keep up the great work!
