Smile Spinners Marysville, Pennsylvania

This wonderful shop is located about seven miles from Interstate 81 and is an easy 15 minute detour to the shop if you are passing through. Owner Cathy Queitzsch opened the shop in 2000, and has been serving the local quilting community ever since. Do remember to greet the shop mascot, Tilly, when you arrive. She will go from room to room checking on everyone while you are in the shop.

Fabric is stored by color wave in s series of rooms. The house was a home at one time, so there is ample wall space to display the 5,000 plus bolts of fabric that are available here. There are wide backs, blenders and solids, and tone on tones. A nice selection of batiks is here. Cotton linen blends, that you can use for clothing or quilting, are available. Kaffe Fassett is well represented, so there are plenty of large and small prints on hand. Don’t miss the Civil War and 30’s Reproduction fabrics! There is a fall nook, as well as a children’s room. Fat Quarter bundles are also available.

There are great samples here, with patterns available. The shop is also a registered dealer for Pfaff Machines and Elna Sergers. If you ever wondered what your machine looks like without it’s skin, check out the picture! All sewing machine repairs are done in house, and there is a weekly online class for new owners to learn more about their machines.

Long Arm Services are available. The long arm operator is a graphic designer, and the machine is not computerized. Please call the shop for more details on this service. I would plan to be here for at least thirty to forty-five minutes to see everything.
