Just a few minutes from Interstate 70, you’ll find this delightful shop, acknowledged by one of their customers as “My favorite.” Owner Diana Bruns has been providing fabric and expertise to the area for the pasty 38 years, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
There is a lot of fabric tucked inside of this store, located in an older strip mall. With well over 1,000 bolts available, including Batiks, solids and blenders, and a lot of wonderful prints, you are sure to find something that simply must follow you home. Many of the prints would make wonderful Stack-N-Whack candidates. Add to that Grunge in both plain and dots, and a great selection of tone on tone blenders, and you have real potential for getting lost for awhile, or at least 30 minutes! Fabrics are sorted by style and color, so matching to a print was really easy.
There are samples on just about every available surface, with patterns and kits for most of them. Of course, you can also get the pattern and pick your own fabrics. The staff is very happy to help if you are unsure of your choices.
There is also a nice selection of bag samples and patterns. If you’ve never sewn a bag, it is a lot simpler than it looks, and if you have questions, just ask. I like making my own grocery bags – if COVID ever lets us start using our own again.
Finally, the shop is a Viking Husqvarna dealer. I use and travel with an Emerald 116, and it is a real workhorse. I run about 10 kilometers of thread through it a year, and have never had a problem. Check these out is you are in the market. The shop is also fully certified in software and repair.
