This is the motto “Longarm Bob” Cornella, owner of Quilters Quest in Woodridge, Illinois, has for his shop.
The shop is about four miles from I55 west of Chicago, Illinois, and is a hive of activity with three computer assisted long arms running in symphony.
One of the several teachers available at Quilter’s Quest is a certified Judy Niemeyer (Quiltworx) instructor, so if you’ve been looking for a place to learn this amazing technique, check out the class schedule.

This bank of long arm machines is overseen by Longarm Bob. They are computer assisted, and quilted over 11,000 customer quilts in the last few years. If you need to have a quilt layered and quilted, this is clearly the place to bring it. If you’d prefer to quilt your own, there is a fourth machine up front that you can be trained on and run yourself.
There are thousands of bolts of fabric to choose from, and dozens of patterns. Wander through the shelves and choose your next project, then select fabrics and get ready to enjoy. If you prefer, the shop carries AccuQuilt Go® systems and dies to cut out your patterns with complete accuracy. I used one of these to cut my Hunters Star, and I’m not sure I’d be able to get it together if I had cut it with rulers and a rotary cutter! Of course, a lot of people are more accurate cutters than I am, but the dies certainly help.
Don’t miss the “Sale” are, where fabrics are 50% off, with no minimum cut. There are also discounted patterns, and check out the “Skinny Bolts” that are 35% off. It’s a good area to get lost in for a bit.
Quilters Quest is a licensed dealer for Bernina and Janome sewing machines, and has a repair technician on staff. Stop in if you need service on your machine or are looking for a new one.
