Located just under three miles from Interstate 94, this shop has the largest selection of fabric and threads in North Dakota. Owners Joy & Blake Papke have been serving the local quilting and sewing community since 2008. It’s located in an out parcel of the Skyline Crossings Mall. Google gets a little confusing toward the end, but by then you can see the shop and navigate visually.
There is a lot of wonderful fabric here, over 4,500 bolts. There is plain Grunge, lots of panels, and wonderful flannels. Solids and blenders are available, as well as tone on tones . Check out the great selection of batiks, and then wander through the large and small prints and 30’s Reproduction fabric. There is also a selection of wool for appliques. Don’t miss the precuts, including Candies, Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, and Jelly Rolls. You will find fat quarters shelved with or near the parent bolt. Wide backings include cotton in 108″ widths, and Cuddle in both 60″ and 90″ widths.
Samples are literally hung from the walls and ceiling. Check out the number on the samples; it matches the kit to make on e of your very own. The shop strives to have kits for all samples. Since these are put together in house, you may occasionally find one temporarily sold out. Of course, since they are made in house, you have a good chance of having one built while you wait. Don’t miss the large collection of patterns and notions! If you have a embroidery machine, do check out the large selection of threads available.
The shop is a registered Baby Lock dealer, with a factory certified technician on hand to help with routine service on needed repairs. If you are looking for a new machine or system, do look at what is available while you’re in the shop.
I would plan to be here for at least thirty to forty-five minutes.
