Located less than a mile from Ohio Route 7, this eclectic shop is a mix of quilt shop and gift shop. Owned by Beverly Neff, the shop started as a Country Store in 1994. Quilting fabric was added over the years. The shop now carries over 2,500 bolts of fabrics and kits made in house. Quilting and fabrics are on the first floor; home decor is upstairs.
Turning back to the fabric, selection is wonderful. There are Diamond yarn dyed (think reversible) fabrics, as well as solids, blenders, and wonderful large and small prints. There is a nice selection of Civil War and 30’s Reproduction fabrics as well. Wide backings are available, and wool for applique is also on hand. Don’t miss the Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, and Layer cakes! Fall and Christmas fabrics are also available year round. Wander through the shop carefully – just when you think you’ve seen everything, there is another room or alcove full of fabric!
Samples are hung throughout the shop, generally near the fabrics used to assemble them. There are also kits, developed and kitted in house, for many of the samples. There is also a selection of business cards for local long arm services. Feel free to pick one or two up for later use.
I would plan to be here for at least thirty to forty-five minutes just to see the fabrics – I checked out the Home Decorations as well and was here for over two hours…
