I had a partial knee replacement in October of 2021. Unfortunately, it was not successful. After a year and a half of pain and difficulty walking, I have made the decision to have the partial removed and a total knee replacement done. If any of you have had knee replacement surgery, you will know that this is not a decision I have taken lightly.
What does that mean for the blog? I am having increasing difficulty traveling to shops – you may notice I have been staying fairly close to my home state of Ohio for the last few months. I generally try to stay at least a month ahead, so if there are issues (like Covid, for instance) I can continue to publish and then catch up when I am able to travel again. I have enough shops “in the can” and can visit enough before my surgery to cover until late September, but only if I publish only once a week.
I considered simply taking a sabbatical, but I would rather keep sharing the shops I have so enjoyed visiting. Therefore, this is the last Thursday post until October. If everything goes well, I will be able to drive again in September. Until then, check back on Mondays and keep quilting!
Blessings,
Jean Heller
Hope your surgery and recovery go well!
Thank you!
