Located just over two miles from Interstate 75, owner Shannon Burns purchased this wonderful shop in 2017. She has continued the tradition of serving the local quilting and crafting community ever since. The shop is bright and extremely well laid out, with a wonderful selection of samples to highlight every collection of fabric she carries. – but more about the samples in a bit. Let’s start with fabric!
There are over 5,-000 bolts of fabric on hand here, including a wall of Kaffe Fassett. There are Lori Holt vintage fabrics, and a nice collection of Shot Cottons, which are yarn dyed fabrics so there is no “wrong” side – a real boon for folks like me who occasionally sew a square in backwards! Check out the selection of Oriental Fabrics by Timeless Treasure. There are solids and blenders, and a good selection of batiks. Wonderful large prints (think Stack-n-Whack) as well as smaller prints are here as well. Wide backs include cotton in 108″ widths and Minkee in 90″ widths. Don’t miss the Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, Layer Cakes, and Fat Quarter packs!
About those samples… They are sprinkled throughout the store, and have patterns available, not to mention classes for many of them. Samples are generally as near as possible to the fabrics used to make them. There are also quilt kits available. The quilt at eh right is May Flowers by Running Doe Patterns, and I can see a lot of possibilities for changing up those flowers – maybe a collection of Kaffe Fassett fat quarters?

The shop is a registered dealer for Brother and Handi Quilter machines, so if you are looking for a n ew toy do check them out. I have a Sweet Sixteen Handi Quilter is my spare bedroom, and I highly recommend it if you have the room and do a lot of quilts.
