Located less than a mile from Interstate 81, this bright and cheerful shop is a wonderful stop and quite close to the interstate. Owned by Kathy and Cindy , the shop has been serving local quilters for over sixteen years. Last names are not shared, but expertise certainly is! Is you’re stuck on a pattern or need help picking fabrics, they are happy to help. The shop is housed in an older duplex, with this inside walls opened up to make room for the fabrics and the long arm system.
There are over 2,500 bolts here by my count, and the colors are amazing. Wide backs in both cotton and cotton sateen, and some prints are so beautiful that I would use them for Stack-n-Whack. Widths are from 108 to 118 inches, and there are 120 to 125 choices. Then there are solids and blenders, tone on tones, and batiks. Large and small prints, and a nice selection of Grunge are also available. Patriotic prints, cotton “cork”, and Civil War and 30’s Reproduction fabrics are also on hand. Panels and Insulbrite are also on hand.
The quilt at the right (Cats) is an applique done for a competition using all Grunge fabrics. It is all hand applique, and the stitches are so tiny you can barely see them. It is a one of a kind; there is no pattern. On the other hand, there are patterns for the other samples, as well as a great selection of patterns for other quilts.
There are also patterns and samples for bags. Fabrics used are amazing! Don’t miss checking these out.
