Located about 15 miles south of Interstate 84, this great shop is owned by Charlene Friesen and has been serving the local area for the past six years. The shop carries Janome machines, and services most models – more on that later.
First let’s talk about the fabric. There are wonderful batiks here, as well as some wonderfully soft flannels on bolts and in Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, and Fat Quarter bundles, which I don’t see very often in flannel Don’t miss the large prints, many suitable for Stack-N-Whack. There are also wonderful smaller prints, and solids and blenders to fill out your quilt top. Precuts are also available in quilting cottons. There are Island Batik strip sets, Northcott fabrics, and nice selection of panels and wonderful wide backings.
Samples are available to enjoy on just about every wall, but they are well placed and don’t appear crowded. There are patterns for most of them. There is also a Block of the Month focused on Idaho and designed in house. Kits are available for some of the quilts, or you can make your own kit with fabrics you select – help is available if needed.
As I mentioned before, the shop is a registered Janome dealer, and services most machines, including Necchi and heirloom machines. If your baby is ailing on the road, do give them a call and see if they can help. Of course, you can also admire and be tempted by the new machines!
Long arm services are available in house. Please call the shop for pricing and lead times.
I would plan to be here for at least twenty to forty minutes, longer if you are looking at machines or selecting backing and long arm patterns for a quilt.
