This shop is located on an Amish Homestead, and owned and run by Rebecca Esh. Located just under two miles from Interstate 76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike), it is an easy stop along the way to anywhere the turnpike takes you. Do call and check hours if you are planning to stop – the store closes for religious and school related holidays, like Ascension Day and Pentecost Weekend. Customer Appreciation Days are the first Friday and Saturday in June, so if you are going to be in the area stop in for donuts and discounts!
There is a wealth of fabric here – well over 5,000 bolts. There are licensed Pro Team fabrics, solids and blenders, tone on tones, and batiks. Large and small prints are available, as well as at least 200 different panels. Christmas fabrics are in stock year round, and there are some wonderful flannels. Clothing fabrics are also on hand. Panels to make cloth books are here as well. If you need a completed quilt, those are available too.
If you enjoy hand embroidery, don’t miss the wide selection of pre-printed pillow cases. There is also a nice selection of laces and trims, for edging pillow cases or embellishing quilts – or even trimming your clothing!
I would plan to be here for at least 20 to 30 minutes, much longer to see all of the fabrics. Part of the shop is also a general store, so check out the goodies available before you leave.
