This shop is located off of the access road for Interstate 35 in Moore, Oklahoma. The original shop is in Oklahoma City; I will have to visit it next trip as I ran out of time. Owners Robin and Robert Hill are second generation; Robin’s father started the original shop as a sewing machine sales and repair shop 35 years ago in their home. They eventually added fabrics, and moved to a new home as the shop took over This shop in Moore opened a little over 15 years ago.
There is a wonderful collection of fabrics here, ranging from wool in both square and bolts to wide backs and panels. In between you have solids, blenders, tone on tone, and prints both large and small. There is plain Grunge, and a nice selection of batiks. Overall, there are over 1,000 bolts of fabric here. Check out the homespun – these fabrics are woven with dyed thread, rather than being printed on another color fabric, so they are completely reversible. There is also cuddle and a selection of kits and patterns
There are samples hung throughout the shop. Kits are available for most of them, and it you don’t like the fabrics in the kit, you can always choose your own! The staff was quite friendly and willing to help with this if needed.
Long Arm services are available, or you can take a class and then rent the machine and finish your own masterpiece. The shop also sells long arm systems, as well as other machines, so you could take one home for your very own – mine lives in my spare bedroom!
Speaking of machines – the shop is a dealer for Handi Quilter, Janome, Juki, Brother, and Elna machines, and Arrow Sewing Cabinets. If you are looking for a new machine, or a place to store yours, so check them out. This adorable travel machine almost made its way into my camper…
Please plan to be in the shop for at least twenty to thirty minutes.
