This shop is located right outside Oklahoma City, in Moore. It is less than three miles from Interstate 35, or 5 miles south of Interstate 240. Owner Becky Medford worked as w registered nurse as well as running the shop until Covid. After Covid, she went to the shop full time, since she has been quilting for over 42 years and the shop is much more fun! Her vast experience means you can ask her about any issues you may have with a pattern or a quilt, and she’ll be willing and able to help.
Over 1,200 bolts of fabric line the walls and fill the shelves here. Most of the fabric is from Moda, and there are great prints if you enjoy Stack-n-Whack, as well as solids and blenders, including Grunge. Tone on tones are available in white and ivory, as well as a nice collection of batiks, including Botanica Batiks. These have wonderful leaf and flower motifs, so be sure to check them out. Smaller prints are also available, and Christmas fabrics are here all year. Wide backings, children’s prints, and panels, including those for soft cover children’s books, are also available. There are also kits to match some of the patterns. If you a pattern but not a kit, ask. Miss Becky or one of her staff will help you to pick out the fabrics you need.
There are a lot of samples to see here, and all are made by Miss Becky. When the fabric line is no longer available, the sample quilts are sold, so if you see one you must have, ask if it can be reserved for you.
Long Arm Services are available; please call the shop for pricing and lead times. Your group can also rent teh classroom for a 24 hour retreat – stay at a local hotel, and then come sew the night away! There are 21 design boards, and 4 X 8 cutting tables, as well a table for each participant. Please call for more information on this as well. There was a group in process when I visited, and they were obviously having a blast!
