This brand new shop, located less than a mile from Interstate 71 just over the Ohio / Kentucky border, had its soft opening the day before Thanksgiving 2021. According to owner Kelly Niceley, the grand opening in January 15, 2022, so make your plans now yo be there!
The area where the shop is located is known Ritte’s Corner. For the woodworkers in the group, this shop is just under three and a half miles from Lost Art Press in Covington, so why not make a day of it?
Fabrics are coming in daily. There were just over 600 bolts on hand the day I visited, including solids, tone on tone, and blenders. There is a nice selection of Stitch by Riley Blake. Flannels are available, and don’t miss the crib in the back that is filled with juvenile prints. Large and small prints are available, as are panels. There are both panels for cloth books and completed books for sale. Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, and Layer Cakes are on hand. There are also notions and cutting mats. The building is a former theater, so there is plenty of room for expansion.
Samples are hung throughout the shop, so do check them out while you are visiting. There are patterns available for all of them, and kits for some. If you want a kit and there is not one available for your chosen pattern, build your own! If you’re not comfortable doing this, the staff will happily help. They have at least twenty years of experience in other shops and quilting on their own.
Long Arm Services are available; the machine is currently located at Miss Kelly’s home, but plans are to bring it to the shop eventually. Please check with the shop for prices and lead times to finish your masterpiece. Please plan to spend twenty to forty minutes here.
