After visiting Snoqualmie Falls, continue west on Interstate 90 to Interstate 405 North. This shop is about an hour from the falls, or just 15 miles from I405 in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Owned by Mindy Lennon, a quilter for over 25 years, and open seven days a week. The store is a block long, and is a great place to see a lot of fabric and samples. There is also a retreat center; please call for more information on this feature.
Speaking of fabric, there are over 6,000 bolts on hand here. Grunge in plain and dots, tone on tone, blenders by the shelf, solids, lots of batiks, and prints large and small are available. There are lots of panels, including one that is huge, shown below. Kaffe Fassett is well represented, as are flannels and some clothing fabric. The fabric room is sorted by colors, so matching blenders to prints is a breeze.
They have been in the current building for six years, and there is a fabric room, a machine room, and classrooms and a retreat center upstairs. The shop is licensed to sell both Bernina and Handi Quilter systems, and carries a great selection. There is also a wall of thread to supply your needs. Long Arm services are available in the shop, or you can take a class and then rent time on the machine and quilt your own masterpiece.
I would plan to be here 45 minutes to an hour, just because there is so much to see. If you are coming from the north, stop here and then go to the falls, but don’t miss seeing the falls!
