Located less than five miles from Interstate 15, this enchanting shop is a great break from your drive and a real temptation to increase your fabric stash. Owned by Carla Gray and Linda Edminster, the shop has everything from fabric to notions to rulers to puzzles that are pictures of quilts, in case you want to make a quilt but don’t have your sewing machine along!
Fabrics range from Minky and Cuddle to over 1,000 bolts of cottons. There are solids, blenders, and Grunge in plain, dots, and stars. There are no batiks – they are across town at Jewels Fabric Stash – but there are great large and small prints and wool for the wool applique enthusiast. Don’t miss the precuts, from Jelly Rolls to Charm Packs to Layer Cakes, many in matching fabrics. Then there are fat quarter bundles, Civil War prints, and lots of trims and buttons. Individual fat quarters are stored near the matching bolt, so if you only need a fat quarter you can find then easily. Bags are displayed with their patterns, and there are kits for quilts if you enjoy working from a kit.
Is there a baby due in your circle of family and friends in the near future? Consider this adorable quilt for the new arrival! It is one of many samples displayed around the shop. There are classes to show you how to make many of them, and if you are not comfortable in groups yet, the staff is more than happy to answer questions and give guidance. There is also a great selection of Creative Grid rulers. Check these out for easier cutting on your next project. I have quite a few I’ve gathered over the years, and I really like them.
