Located just three and one half miles from Interstate 79, this shop is inside Seneca Center, a remodeled glass factory, with much of the original brick walls and wooden flooring still intact. Look for the red water tower and the 100 foot tall glass furnace chimney that are still on the property. Owned by Peggy Elwood, the shop is a wonderful stop if you are traveling anywhere on I79.
West Virginia University fans will find a wonderful collection of school spirit fabrics among the 3,500 bolts in the store. Solids and blenders, batiks, Civil War, and Grunge in plain, dots, and stars are here to enjoy. Prints both small and large are also available. Tone on tone in white and ivory are here, and a nice selection of patriotic prints.
I’ve enjoyed seeing the different Laura Heine patterns as I visit shops, but this one was new to me. It is a wonderful bright flower, and is just one of the dozens of samples here. Patterns are available, and if you want help choosing fabrics or want to build your own kit, the staff is more than willing to help you make your selections. Some have kits already assembled if that is your preference. Plan 30 to 45 minutes here.
Allow me to introduce you to George, the long arm system. He is ready and willing – with the help of the staff – to quilt your latest masterpiece. Please contact the shop for pricing and lead times. Classes are also back in session; please contact the shop for schedules and details.
If possible, plan to arrive early in the day so you can stop at some of the other shops in the center while you’re in the area. There is a wonderful Tea Shop just a few doors down, and a Bernina dealer at the end of the hall.

Stop back on Monday and see where the North American Shop Hop is visiting next! I’m heading west to make soup for my mother again, so it could be anywhere…
Great review!
