I took a quick detour – less than a mile – from Interstate 40 to visit this wonderful shop. Co-owners Sharon Corbin and Betty Peck alternate work weeks, but both are knowledgeable about all things sewing, so stop in any time! If you need custom sewing or alterations, ask for Miss Betty.
There is a great selection of fabrics here, including Kaffe Fassett and some bold prints and southwestern themed fabrics. My Stack-n-Whack self was sorely tempted! There are over 1,000 bolts of fabric to enjoy, including solids, blenders, and batiks to complement the prints. Layer Cakes, Charm Packs, and Jelly Rolls are available, as well as a nice selection of kits. Panels are also featured, and there are a lot of them.
Don’t miss the samples throughout the shop. The Bargello is even more stunning “in person.” There are kits and classes for many of the samples. With COVID, please call about classes, as the rules are changing constantly.
Unique Layer Cakes
There is a long arm system in the shop, available for rental if you’d like to complete your own quilt. Although there is not a class required to rent time, the staff will make sure you know how to use the machine.
Plan to be here at least thirty minutes to see everything.

Stop back on Thursday as the North American Shop Hop continues east into New Mexico!
Live Painted Desert Quilts. Stopped in during a trip to SC in Sept. 2019 and enjoyed it so much changed travel plans on the return trip so I could stop in again. Ladies are uber sewing and quilting knowledgeable. And they are welcoming and friendly. Some really good authentic Mexican restaurants in the immediate area as well.
