Owned by brothers Brody and Teancum Tippetts, with help from brother Zack, this store is a great mix of fabric and machines. Located just six miles from Interstate 15, you will need to watch for the address. They are in the Rancho Gowan Business Park, but their name is not on the main signboard. However, Google will get you there.
This is the largest quilt shop in Nevada, with over 10,000 bolts of fabric on hand. They have the best ever solids shelf, where you can match just about any fabric. I found this shop over a year ago, when I was trying to match solids to a print for my daughter’s quilt – I hadn’t started the blog yet – and was able to find perfect matches for both of the colors she wanted. There are prints of all kinds, Grunge, wide backs in cottons and Minky, batiks, Orientals, and solids and blenders by the shelf. Tone on tone prints are here in abundance, and there is a wonderful selection of panels. If you use precuts, there is a nice selection of Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, and Layer Cakes.
Kits are available for most of the samples, and many also have classes, either on line or in person. Long Arm Services are available. If you are looking for a new sewing machine – at any level – this is certainly the place to come and compare. Sew Yeah carries Bernina, Brother, Janome, and Handi Quilter.
There are things here you don’t want to miss. The Sale Cave is a good place to look for bargains. One room is dedicated to children’s prints. Embroidery thread is here in every color you can think of, and there are patterns galore. There is also a Saturday Night Fabric Destash (SNFD) on You Tube and Facebook Live every Saturday evening at 6 PM Pacific time. Here you get to see new fabrics and buy a wide variety of items, from yardage to FQ Bundles to precuts. Each item has a number, and if you want it, you send a message. If you are first to send, it is yours. I’m rarely fast enough to get much since my internet is painfully slow, but it is a lot of fun to watch!
