Owned by Gail Withrow and located just six miles from Interstate 90, this store is the home of “happy fabric.” I asked how you can tell fabric is happy? Answer: “It is bright and cheerful colors and it’s going in a quilt. Wouldn’t you be happy?” Hmmm…yes!
There are a lot of bright fabrics here, as well as softer colors for accents and folks who prefer a more subdued look, but the store does pop with colors. With over 1,500 bolts of fabric on hand, there is sure to be something that suits your fancy. There are lots of smaller prints, solids and blenders, larger prints, Minky, and flannels. There is also a collection by Grey Sky Studios that I had not seen before that is just lovely. Aurifil threads and lots of patterns are here as well.
Don’t forget to look at all of the samples! There are so many it is easy to miss one or two, but make sure to see all of them. Another unique thing at this shop is bundled Jelly Roll and Charm Pack sets, with matched fabrics. Kits and Fat Quarter packs are available throughout the shop, and there are about 45 different wide backs to choose from for your next project.
There is normally an annual Quilt Show, but with COVID it was cancelled – so the store did a food drive instead. They were waiting for the truck to come and pick up the bounty when I was in. Please check with the store for class schedules. You will need 30 to 45 minutes to see everything here.
