Patchwork Angels Quilt Shop Endicott, New York

Located just five miles from Interstate 86 and owned by Rose Oswald, this shop is a local hub of activity for everything from quilting supplies to Community Service activities.  It is a drop off for the Linus Project and Cases for Smiles (Conker Cancer), and a collection point for dog beds for the local shelter.

Residing in a 1900’s vintage house, it is worth the stop for the house and the fabric, but let’s talk fabric. There are over 2,500 bolts in house.  Styles include batiks, wools, wooly flannel, fairy frost, Orientals, blenders, prints, and panels.  There is also a large selection of tone on tone prints in beige and white.    Yes, there are Stack-n-Whack candidates!  See the one on the bottom right below… Also present are charm packs, jelly rolls, and layer cakes.

For the embroidery enthusiast, there are Kimberbell patterns and Aurofil threads.  English Paper Piecing supplies and patterns are present, as are foils and vinyl.  Quilting patterns and samples abound.  Rulers of all types and sizes are available.

There is also a retreat center upstairs that will re-open as soon as they are permitted, allowing seven friends to come together and sew the day and night away. For now, there is a classroom in what used to be the garage where you can gather and sew while keeping social distance.

Patchwork Angels is an authorized Janome dealer, so make some time to check out the new machines.  It is also a drop off and pick up point for local Long Arm Quilters.  Plan at least 30 minutes here.
