When you are laid off and decide to do what you love instead of looking for a new job (Valerie Pierce), and your step-daughter (Roni Mortenson) agrees to join you in the venture, you end up with Quilty Pleasures. Just ten miles from Interstate 90, Google Maps will take you to the parking lot behind the store. Take the walkway between the shops and come on in.
Fabrics are mostly bold, bright, colors, and there are over 3,500 bolts to look through. There are a lot of panels, cleverly numbered and sorted, plus charm packs, jelly rolls, and layer cakes. Fabrics include flannels, solids, prints, neutrals, and a great selection of tone on tone prints. There are a lot of nice large prints, suitable for Stack-n-Whack. Patterns are available, as well as samples and kits.
There are samples throughout the shop, with a twist. They are made of fabrics in the shop, and when the fabric line is all sold, the sample quilt is also sold. If you see one you really want, you can actually reserve it so that when it is ready to be sold, it will be yours! There are multiple samples in the shop with this possibility, so enjoy checking them out. Plan to spend 30 to 40 minutes in this shop.
