I found this shop in upstate New York, not far from the Vermont border. Owned by Bonnie Roes, it sits right off of New York 12 North, and is a great find. The shop is across from the Pioneer Café, between Glenfield and Lyons Falls, and well worth the pleasant drive through the New York countryside to get there.
You will be greeted by over 2,ooo bolts of fabric, and a cheerful and helpful staff. Fabrics include some batiks, Cuddle and Minky, and a lots of prints, including a great selection of children’s prints. Also featured are blenders and solids, and a wide selection of tone on tone prints ranging from white to deep cream. The shop also carries a selection of flannels in prints and plaids, as well as panels, jelly rolls, charm packs, and layer cakes.
Patterns are available both on separate racks and with the samples made from them. There are samples above tables, on walls, and hanging – no shortage of inspiration here! Panels are also featured, and there are some great patterns using panels if you aren’t quite sure what to do with them.
You may be greeted by the shop cat. Like all cats, she makes her own rules and may or may not acknowledge your existence!
Plan to spend 30 to 40 minutes here to see everything.
