Owned by Ken Vlodek and Joyce Adkins, this gem of a shop is the perfect stop for both quilters and knitters. Located just over three miles from Interstate 95, it is a quick detour and worth the time. There are actually two store fronts that make up the shop – one for fabrics, and one for yarns
Fabric of all kinds is the keyword here. The first floor has quilting fabric, with fat quarters on the shelf in baskets next to the bolts for most of them. There is a nice mix of prints, blenders, solids, and batiks, over 1,000 bolts to browse. Check out the fishing and outdoor fabrics for your next masculine quilt. There is also clothing fabric available, including blends and synthetics. The lower floor has upholstery and home decorator fabrics.
If there is a young man or young woman in your life who loves airplanes and helicopters, check out these two fabrics. There is a nice selection of complementary fabrics to go with them.
I enjoy sewing tote bags, but it can be hard to match strap webbing to the colors I like for bags. Not here! Check out the great selection of nylon webbing in lots of colors. Bring your scraps and match away!
For the knitters in the crowd, there are over 650 different yarns from which to make your selection. The second half of the store is two floors of yarns, in every color you can think and some you wouldn’t imagine.
The store is also a Husqvarna Viking dealer, and Mr Ken handles all of the sewing machine repair. Take some time to look at these machines. Plan to spend 30 to 40 minutes here.
