Less than three miles from Interstate 80, this store is in an historic town that is worth exploring when you are done shopping. Recently purchased by owner Sandy Sack, the fabric is a great addition to her existing long arm business. She was renting space in the fabric store when the previous owner needed to let go of one of her two businesses – so Miss Sandy bought the fabric shop, with an air BNB upstairs.
Can you imagine a vacation with a quilt shop on the premises? Or a mini retreat with a few of your quilting friends? Or coming for a special class and staying right there? The possibilities are endless!
With around 500 bolts on hand and more on the way, the fabric is bright and modern. There are lots of prints with blenders to set them off, and in spite of the shop name, they are not all pink! There are also Charm Packs, Jelly Rolls, and a great collection of books and patterns. There are samples of bags and patterns to match, as well as other samples throughout the shop. Miss Sandy was still organizing when I was in, as she had only been the official owner for a week or so. I’m sure from her wonderful beginning that there are great things to follow!
Check out the notion and pattern shelf. Scissors, Best Press, books, and more can be found here. There is also a selection of gadgets to help the quilter.
Classes are still in the future due to COVID restrictions, so keep watching online and see what you strikes your fancy. Classes will hopefully begin in July, but as we all know COVID could change that in an instant.
The long arm machine lives in the back portion of the shop. Miss Sandy had just unloaded a finished quilt, so of course things were a little untidy, but that is to be expected in a work area. Plan to spend about 30 minutes checking out this wonderful shop.
