What do you do with an old gas station/convenience store? According to owner Brian D. McCoy, you make it into a quilt shop! Located just seven miles from Interstate 77 and right off of WV68, this shop has quite a collection of bolts to back up the name – over 4,500 of them!
If you love prints, this is the place to come and shop. There are prints everywhere! There is also a great selection of solids, blenders, Grunge, and batiks. There is a shelf of holiday fabrics – Christmas, Halloween, Fall, St. Patrick’s Day, and so on. Kaffe Fassett is well represented. Patterns are on racks at the end of shelves of fabric, so you don’t have far to go to find what you need. There is also a wall of wide backings, not to mention Charm Packs, Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, and lots of Fat Quarters.
This collection is called “Gypsy Soul” by Dan Morris for Quilting Treasures. This is the first place I have seen it, and it is lovely! Too bad the budget would not stand a yard of each…
Bolts & Quarters is a Baby Lock and Handi Quilter dealer. Long arm services are available in house, or you can rent time on their machines, once you have taken a class to learn how to use them.
Say hello to this little guy as you browse the shop – he has friends here and there, and there are patterns available. Plan to spend an hour here, just to see everything.
