Just six miles from Interstate 71 Exit 50 in Ohio is Carol and Kevin Earhart’s Cotton Junky Quilt Shop. This delightful shop is housed in a remodeled older home, and has nooks of fabric tucked away at every turn.
Check out the portable sewing machine on the top shelf – a classic! Fabric selections range from modern to blenders and solids, including wool, so you are sure to find something to suit your tastes. There is a nice selection of woodland panels as well, with coordinating prints to make your favorite hunter a quilt for their man cave. Wide backings are also available.
The owners were at a show when I visited, so some of the stock was traveling with them, but the selection was still excellent. There are normally over 1200 bolts on hand here.
The shop also provides long arm services, so bring your latest top and have it completed. The living room of the house is now the classroom, and there are samples both in the shop area and in the classroom for inspiration. If you tie quilts with embroidery floss, as I do occasionally, there is a great selection of floss tucked in one corner. I believe every color is represented…
Plan to spend at least 30 minutes here.
